Richard’s Debut * Newborn Photography * Augusta, Ga

I am notoriously bad about getting lost. And it doesn’t help that my GPS, whom I love dearly, often directs me to the wrong house number on a bad day. So when I realized that I’d be going up against Friday afternoon traffic and a new neighborhood, I started to get nervous about arriving on time. Luckily the family that I was meeting didn’t mind one bit and my navigational buddy landed me in the right spot after all. When I arrived on the scene, baby Richard was busy chillaxing on his Daddy’s knee.

He’s thinking about something deep and profound. Since I’ve spent plenty of time consoling a fussy baby myself, I could understand his parents’ reluctance to move him out of this happy trance-like state. So we hung out in the living room for awhile.

Their dog Dover entertained us by alternating between protective barking and his uncanny ability to find hidden treats.

After awhile we moved into the nursery to take advantage of the gorgeous afternoon sunlight streaming through the windows. I think the giraffe was my favorite piece in these pictures, but this nursery was packed with adorable little odds and ends.

Rich was a champ. He lounged comfortably and barely made a peep while my shutter clicked away.

I loved this little door ornament. As soon as I saw it, this was the picture I envisioned.

It was a pleasure to photograph such a sweet angel boy. I feel so privileged to get to do this job that I love!
